Mr. Netkin:

I will be putting a check in tomorrow's mail to you and will contribute as often as possible.

I've never followed a mayoral race as closely as this one, but none has ever been as important to the future of Los Angeles, either.  Your focus is on Villaraigosa, but I feel if he can be held back long enough, perhaps the rest of the country will awaken from its coma and band together before our borders become nonexistent.

I pray Villaraigosa doesn't win, but if he does it will be an endless source of entertainment watching you (and all mayorno supporters) make his life hell holding him to his campaign promises!!  No matter who wins, these street vendors have to go.  I have the corn-on-a-stick vendor, fried pig skin vendor, clothes for sale out of a van vendor, two market on the road trucks coming by hourly all the way from Los Angeles as late as 10 o'clock at night, and a Latino ice cream truck whose "song" is one high note played extremely loud which sounds like aliens from space are landing any minute.  My 9-year-old daughter was terrified the first time it came down our street.  I have no escape from any of the individual "announcements" of these vendors. I live in a totally residential area, not a business district.  Anyway, I know you know what it's like....

Be proud of yourself, Hal...you're doing a good thing!

================================
Thank you,

When I started the MayorNo site nearly one year ago, one of my greatest concerns was: how many people like yourself are out there who will support what I'm doing? What I have found is that so many of us have been "race whipped" into silence. But now the silence is broken.

But our "leaders" are already looking for laws that I may have broken with the telephone auto-messaging I have put on line. And I have found out that if they can't find any laws that I have broken, they will try to legislate some restrictions -- it wasn't an issue when the mayoral candidates bombarded us with their auto-messages (that triggered me to the idea). That is why one of my goals is to expose the city government to the public so that the public will not be afraid to scrutinize them more closely. And I will be able to do it with help from citizens like yourself.

Thanks again,
Hal
