Why am I not surprised that former California Assemblyman Richard Katz has thrown his support to Antonio Villaraigosa for mayor. One has to think back to the State Senate election of 1998. Katz was running against Richard Alarcon. Kingmaker Senator Richard Polanco and Alarcon savaged Katz in direct mailers, although Katz was very liberal and a supporter of massive immigration, supporting bills protecting illegal aliens. In response, Katz filed a lawsuit against Polanco for slander and defamation. He later withdrew the suit (wonder how much it took to buy him off?), and now he supports that gang and Antonio. Wonder how much it took this time to buy Katz? Who among them has any integrity, honesty or patriotism? Surely not Katz or Antonio.
