Villaraigosa's victory in Los Angeles is being described in all press releases as,"The 1st Latino mayor in L A since 1860 and then there are other totally objective characteristics of the victory that are described dispassionately. Even Dennis Prager, avowed conservative, has wished Villa. well. Prager even congratulates himself for his magnanimity,as opposed to the open Bush haters, who're never bashful about telling you what a catastrophe it is for the country when a supposed consevative is victorious. We who know of Villa. & his radical past as a leader in ACLU and founder of Mexican separitist organizations, whose ONLY bills as an assemblyman were oddball ACLU type bills ,pushing gay rights, illegal alien rights, know  it's impossible to wish him well ,because he wears his radical agenda on his sleeve. This well-wishing is tantamount to wishing Bonny & Clyde well when you've been told they're headed for the bank district. It's empty political correctness that assumes "all people should have an equal chance at the vital control centers of our country." Does anyone doubt that if Zell Miller were elected president or Jesse Helms, we'd be warned of the extremeist agenda and the shame of electing such a man? We'd get slanted words emphasizing "their radical past" W/ Villaraigosa we get bilge about the remarkable achievement of a person who's supposedly "good for Latinos"--social justice!

Dear Sir,

I share the same sentiments that you do regarding Antonio Villaraigosa. I myself am of latin descent and i would not be tricked into supporting Antonio Villaraigosa in any way. Unlike him i am an AMERICAN first and a Latin second. It truely saddens me that someone with such racist views can gain the favor of so many. He indeed does have two faces, and it is my fear that his true face will appear while he is in office.

I believe in true equality for every race that no one should be given any kind of advantage soley based on their race. As a current college student, i am eligable to recieve many grants and scholorships that the school and private sector has to offer. However I refuse to take any grant or scolorship that would be given to me, and denied to others based on race.

I appreciate everything that you have done to help inform Los Angeles and the world of the the true face of Antonio Villaraigosa.

Sincerely,

-Matt Carranza

Hal,

After hearing about the new Villian Mayor & what Gil Cedillo is up to I am really feeling down.  Welcome to Mexifornia; the Gov. may as well hand over the keys to the city to all the illegal aliens.  Goodbye California, hello Mexifornia.

Sincerely,

Hal:

Thanks for all the hard work you did to inform people about Villaraigosa. Hahn made it easy for him to gain office. Maybe the 70% of voters who didn't slow up will come out in droves for City Council 2007 and Mayor in 2009 after they get a taste of Villaraigosa.

You did a tremendous job.

Hi Hal,

Yes, it is indeed a bit disturbing to see this man in a position where he may have influence.  I am sad that he won, but I just hope Los Angeles will be able to recover from all of the sudden changes he will be doing to his own benefit.

Also, my friend's daughter attends Wilson H.S. in El Sereno, the area where Villaraigosa supposedly worked with.  Well, there was a racial fight yesterday, my friend was contacted by her daughter via cell phone and she could hear all the screaming.  The kids say it was Blacks v.s. Hispanics...I knew this was going to happen with a hypocrite like Villaraigosa as Mayor.

As soon as I can, I will donate some money for the new endeavor with the site.  Thanks Hal for all your hard work.  We appreciate all of the informaiton you gave many of us.

Sincerely,

Note this writer's praise for anti-Semitic website "La Vos de Aztlan."

Hello

My name is Robert Trevino and I am originally from Anaheim, California but right now I am living in San Luis Obispo, Ca. because I am attending Cal Poly as a Business Administration major.  I would just like to let you know that I am very excited that Antonio Villaraigosa won as mayor of LA., it's about time that a city with one of the highest amounts of Latinos has a Chicano, Mexican American, Latino, Hispanic, (whatever you want to call us), Mayor.  What is stated on your website about Mecha wanting the southwest portion of the United States, (Aztlan), to be seperate from the rest of our beloved country is untrue.  The southwestern United States was not stolen, it was won fair and square by the United States, and it should stay the United States. If somebody in Mecha believes that "Aztlan" should be annexed from the rest of our country it's because he is an idiot.  "Aztlan" is the United States of America and full of Chicanos like Villaraigosa and myself.  Mecha is also not anti-jew and what ever else you said.  I am not an immigrant to this country and neither are my parents or my grandparents.  My families roots are from Texas but back when Texas was Tejas.  Before I end this email let me just say that "La Voz de Aztlan" is a great website that has non-mainstream articles.  I wish that there were more websites like "La Voz de Aztlan."

Thank You for your time

Dear Hal.

Your heart is in the right place but this fight is going nowheres. The ruling class of members of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Comission years ego decided that the middle class must be eliminated from America as they represent an obstacle to their "final solution".We are now in the same time frame here in America as Jews and Catholics were in Germany in 1936.As one who live thru the Hollocust rather then see it on film I can tell you with absolute certainty that the American Dream is on a slippery slope since the "establishment" murdered JFK.You will do a great service to your family to plan your exit to some more beneficial state in the US that has both economic and political potential as compared to LA and California overall.Your safety and your family's risk is not worth the effort. You have fought the good fight =Let others carry on.Call me if you want further details. God bless.Respectfully.JK

Surely you could say it better than that.  Most elections these days are as notoriously small as ours.  But 18 Pts Ahead is a HUGE victory whether you like the outcome or not.  And to have turned it around from last Mayoral election to now, shows an exceptional determination and success. I wish our city as much success with his leadership on issues important to all of us, education, transportation, job creation.  And I hope all of us will be involved and help change those things we don't like into things we do. At least be involved in the civil discussion. He's here for at least four more years.  Let's all get on board.  Including YOU.

I think that says it better!

Yup.
If you look at the total L.A. population, Villaraigosa had a "mandate" from just 6.9% of the people!

Hal:
I agree.  Angelenos are waiting for things to get worse, before it gets better. Watch Villaraigosa go to Mexico to visit his boss and get instructions on how to further fleece L.A.

Hal, how many of the votes were from legal voters?
==============================================================
May 21, 2005

THERE are times to sit it out and other times when that ain't justified. In 2000 there was no reason for evangelical christians to stay home because of a last minute report c. Bush's drunk driving, BECAUSE GORE WAS A DISASTER WHEN SOBER. His proclamations since have proved him to be a borderline mental case and have proved again that media bias is mostly about what the networks DONT SAY. You & i recently discussed this REACTIONARY scenario where SOME people conclude it's more imprtant  "to send messages of disgust" than it is to defeat the most damaging candidate. I call it the lost art of damage control.

Until somebody does something to make sure the people voting are legal citizens, it will just get worse. But what chance do we have when people are actually voting on American elections in Mexico?

Dear Hal,

We might as well face it, it's all over!

Soon, LA will resemble Detroit with its empty buildings, tenements and dental offices running out of back alley garages.

No American company will want to "invest" in what was once the best urban city in the western world.  The town is ruined.

Will the last American leaving LA take his family, his business, his income, his taxes and his future with him.

It will be interesting to watch from the sidelines.

Best Regards,

Considering how this phenomenon is not confined to the LA area and extends all across the country both locally and nationally I would think a case could be made that the phenomenon represents a massive 'no confidence vote' for our 'American' 'system' of government by the overwhelming majority of citizens.

In many countries, a voters 'no show' debacle such as you have noted on a massive scale would usher in a new government immediately ....... but not here.

And in many cases there is a minimum turnout that makes an election legitimate or illegitimate .. but not here.
